Shout out to Fiona... Today was a Brilliant day!

Today was a brilliant day.


Why??


I love making a difference in peoples lives.


8:30am today (Saturday 17th August 2024) I ran our 1st ever 4 week program "Super Saturday" Shoulders and arms FIRE workshop - a program designed to give you range of motion back in your shoulders and work the muscles correctly within the shoulders and arms, with the goal to shape them aka - Giving the body shape & definition within the muscles & alleviate tightness's that hold us back which will... correct our posture.

All needing separate & individual attention, I do this in a group scenario.

Over the years small group training has proven to be an environment that super seeds personal training and I see this through the results our FIRE program produces Vs Personal Training.


I'm very excited for each person in this program however I started writing this blog and had to focus on one individual lady, why? because she has just impressed me so much, and her story will inspired so many like her, I just had to kept on writing.


Fiona and I have know and worked together on and off for over 8 years, in recent years she has been apart of our Cardio program, I'm going to re mention 8 YEARS, allot has happened to her over the 8 years the main change is she has aged, we all age every year and we need to adapt our training and food consumption to curve the aging process , which is, losing our muscle and gaining fat every year, plus, yes... those hormonal changes as well.


Fiona has been in our cardio program for the last few years and as my programs have evolved I added 2 stretch classes a week to this time table. This has been a game changer to all my programs and down to her dedication she attended both each week for the past 12 months plus.


However their was a few peace's missing to her overall fitness program, she wanted weight loss, she was also suffering from hot flushes quite badly and just could not shift the weight she had gained in the last 3-4 years, yes that one word explains it all ( menopause)!


I knew what she needed to add to her current fitness program for her to achieve this weight loss she desired...however each person will move through this process in their own time, and I do recommend we start small then build any more components into our overall program.


SO...


Why did Fiona believe what I do will work for her?


Well ... It actually started 2 years ago when I got real and worked on my own body transformation, it has taken me a good 4 years however for this blog I can safely say Fiona joined my recent 12 week Nutrition program "WIINTER WARRIOR 12 WEEK CHALLANGE" due to the work I started 2 years ago when I got real about my own journey - you see, how can I teach a program to others if I don't show them I can do it myself !


and TBH that's exactly what she said to me when she signed up...

" Well I can see you have done it... so I know it will work for me "

What she meant was I know your 43 and you have managed to loose body fat without killing yourself by doing ridiculous amounts of exercise.


Fiona joined our 12 week Nutrition Program "Winter warrior challenge" this program is designed to teach you what to eat, when to eat, to get the most from your exercise and make the food work for you not the other way around.


Fiona took to our Nutrition program like a duck to water, we put together meals that were suited to her and her tastes and ideally similar foods to what she is used to with a few additions for her to give a go , and to her disbelief she is now eating more then she was and the weight is falling off 6 weeks in and she is down 7.9 kilos


And what warms my heart, yesterday she told me

I was getting 1 hot flash a hour and now I'm getting 1 or 2 a week! the diet has almost eliminated the hot flashes.

I knew this would improve for her as I have had this result from my other clients in menopause , however it can be really hard to believe that this will improve as humans some times we just have to go threw it ourself to believe that it actually can improve this much just by tweaking the food you eat.

After joining our Nutrition Program, Fiona is now 6 weeks in (Refer to the picture below)

I'm so excited for Fiona, really proud of her and I feel so accomplished to have the opportunity to make this much change in her life, this is my goal in life and business to provide programs that ultimately give you an answer to what your problems are and get results that last a life time.


I cant wait to progress Fiona though the next half of her 12 week nutrition program to continue to teach her the new elements within her Training program that will help her build and maintain her muscle mass through strength training , it is going to change her future.
